Two Relief Society sisters in the Dominican Republic went from teaching homemaking skills at a local health fair… to becoming national television personalities on a prime-time TV show for more than two years.
Every week, Ada Davis and Mercedes Amparo taught cooking, food storage, emergency preparedness, and family-centered living while openly sharing beliefs from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Their warm, practical approach introduced thousands of viewers to the gospel inside their own homes. The show became so influential that the cameraman eventually joined the Church and later served a mission.
